I'm trying to install the game "Star General," a strategy game by Strategic Simulations Incorporated (SSI) onto either of my computers; one runs on Windows 2000, one runs on Vista. This game used to run on older Windows 95 and 98 computers, but when I attempt to install it on 2000 or Vista computer, I get an error saying that the game is not compatible with NT Technology (I know the reasoning behind this).

However, I know that it IS possible to install on computers with NT technology (2000 and higher) because I have a cousin with the game install on their Windows XP computers.

Does anyone have Star General and know a solution to this, or have a solution that might work?

I do know that if you right click properties on the installer you can choose 'Run in compatibility mode for...' and choose windows 95/98/Me etc, but this is in XP, not sure about 2000 or Vista. Might help?
