I'm suspecting bad motor for power window on driver side. I already replaced old power window switch with "new" (from junk yard) one and still doesn't work. How can I test power window motor?

This info may help you...it's the pages on the 2000 Dodge Neon. Specifically Power Window information. It's from the Factory Service Manual.
Hope this helps! |

you can run a separate power source to it,this way you can test it your self, that might help you narrow it down some, usually its the motors on these that go bad, good luck with it.

take the motor out and test it with a 12volt battery charger, or isolate the power wires for it and check it while still in the door.

You need a volt meter to make sure the motor is getting 12v (about) through the wire when you push the switch.
Electic motora are like light bulbs - they work or they don't when power is on. You could even use a small 12v camp flashlight battery (so you don't fry yourself with the excessive amps a car battery puts out) just to see if it works or not. |
