i want to upgrade my slowass p.o.s. computer from 98 to xp maybe even vista. but i dont want to spend an arm and a leg for the software. my internet guy is going to see if my computer can be upgraded. but in the mean time, i asked my 14-year-old nephew to make me a copy of xp from his pc so i can program it into mine.

q: would the copied disk work in my pc or would it be futile?
