Well I will make this simple. I have used every version of Windows from 3.1 to Vista, and every version is flawed or requires way too many resources. I went to OS-X about a year ago, and yes, things are a little different, but I will never go back to Windows. There is a learning curve, but once you get it, it is so much easier and more friendly than Windows could ever wish to be. The one thing about Macs is that they just work. If you get a Dell with Windows installed, you get all the added software that Dell feels that you need (which you don't). Now that is not MS's fault but it is a reality that you wind up with all kinds of software running, that you will never use, and most people do not know how to shut them down. A Mac comes with none of that nonsense. Plug it in and it works. Plug youe printer in and it will work, no software or drivers to install.
Tiger is a much superior OS than any Windows OS could ever be. Vista is offering things that Tiger has had for years and MS is saying that it is new......NOT!!!!!!
Leopard is even better, it is going to take MS at least 5 years to catch up. Plus the fact that Vista is doing things that the Mac has been doing for years, the real difference, is that OS-X does not eat up about 700MB of your RAM in order to do it.
Leopard is far superior to Vista, and Tiger is (well) also superior to Vista and XP.
Made on a Mac!!!
