I've recently been having problems with my Windows 98 computer and need a bit of help.

Right now It's not starting properly because of a VxD error. However, It'll allow me to go to my desktop and use my programmes.

Unfortunately, the display of the desktop isn't working properly. It's stuck on the 16 colours option and when I try to change the option and restart the computer, it stays on 16 colours!

I tried removing the driver and adding it again, but the disk isn't reading. Which is odd, considering the fact it reads before the computer completely starts up. (I get the 'Start from disk' option when I start the computer'.)

Are there any ways I can fix this? If I can't fix the start up, I want to at least fix the display.
