Default How do I get a 1993 game to play on WIndows 95?

I have an old DOS based computer football game (All American College Football by Micro Sports Inc) produced in 1993. All modules work (such as stats keeper etc) except the actual game play.

When I try to play the screen goes blank and displays an error message
"LVAway2.rsc
sxvirtualfree=39928660

All other exe files have been updated to Windows 95 . I have tried starting from the run menu same problem is occuring.

I don't suspect the files are corrupt because the game came to me factory sealed.

Are there any adjustments I can make to the setting that will allow this to play?

Have you tried playing it in a recent version of Windows?
Supposedly all versions of Windows have backward compatibility.Try selecting the executable file that starts the game and select compatibility and have it run in Windows 95 compatibility mode.
Good luck.
