The majority of the programs on Windows Xp won't work, could you help me?

The list includes
-Properties (when you right click on the desktop)
-iTunes
-Add/remove Programs
-Microsoft Word/Excel/Office programs
-All the games
-Pretty much all other programs

I need urgent help, and it would be much appreciated.
