Windows Movie Maker won't let me play the video.?

I am creating a video, and when I press the play button (to view the video so far) it doesn't do anything. It's like the button is broken. I also tried the play button on the bottom and the one in Play. What do I do ?
They're all MPG , and it was working before..

make sure it is the right file type
i think .m4a file types dont work
