     Hi: I need to delete Windows 98 completely and have an empty hard drive.?

Would someone please be able to tell me how to do this step by step?

since you're running windows 98. Make a bootable floppy disk first. Open DOS command windows (Start --> Run, type in cmd <returne>). Put floppy disk in A: drive
From DOS prompt, type: format a: /s
When it's done, go to C:\windows\command (something like this), copy format.exe to A:
With floppy in drive A:, boot from A: then type format c:
you're done

format the harddrive i did it b4 but forgot exactly what to do truy google

Go to either DOS (or Command from the run menu), when you see C drive with the cursor, just type: Format.

That should do it.
