Default Can't install USB Flash Disk on Windows 98?

I bought a cheap-ass generic made in china USB Flash Disk (no brand) (2GB, 2.0) and it works ok in my Windows XP, but I can't intall it in my Windows 98. It didn't come with any installation cd. I tried to use the Win 98 built-in drivers with it but it didn't work. Please help! Are there any compatible drivers for Win 98 that I can download???

The firmware on most thumb / flash drives do not support Win 98 the only flash drive that I have seen which still does is the Sony brand, just look on the packaging. The win 98 and sooner operating systems are no longer supported so finding peripherals that you can use are only going to be harder to find....SRY DUDE.

I think you need to have Win98SE2 for the USB to work properly. THen, go to the manufacturer's web site to see if they have a driver you can use. Many vendors are not supporting Win98 any longer.
