will my computer handle Windows XP 64 bit edition?

my computer is an E machines i bought about 2 months ago it has an AMD turion64 processor running at 1.8 ghz it has an 80 gig hard drive partitioned about 90%/10% a 512mb stick of ram (i will be upgrading to 1 gb soon) and an ATI Mobility Radeon XPRESS 200 video card (integrated*) i was just wondering if my computer would be able to handle xp 64 bit under these specs please dont answer if you dont know what your talking about.

Yes it can with no prob. It will really run efficiently when you upgrade to 1gb. I recommend going to 2gb if you can afford it. It will be needed especially because you are running the 64bit version.

Yes AMD turion64 can run on x64.But if you are using a 64 bit os,then using 32 bit programs will not work.The benefit of AMD,s 64 is to use a 32 bit os and run 64 bit programs simultaneously.

it will work verry well, mine is worst and still handle...put a small part of ram on integrated video card...and when you want to play something change settings...good bye

Dont Do It!!!!been There Tried That Nothing Is Compatable....vista Will Try Your Patience At First But Not Like That X64...i Have An Athlon64 With A Fullgig Of Ram And 120gb Hard Drive Ati 9250 Allinwonder 128 V-card...vista Ultimate Is The Shit And Worx Like A Charm With Mine...
