Is there a Windows Messenger that works on Windows XP 64 bit...?

That isnt the origional version of msn?

I want to get Windows Live but I cant install it as it is not compatable... I read that the 8.5 Beta version is compatable, however I cant find anywhere where I can download this... Any suggestions?
