just finished building this computer and when i try to install xp using my cd/dvd drive ( this works fine) it goes through most of the begining setup but when it trys to to further install xp the screen goes black and then comes to a stop error screen with the stopr erroe code being (0x0000007b (0xf78b2524,0xc0000034, ) then its just zeros and x's for a while it says somthing along the lines of you computer is eather infected or somthing like your harddrive isnt installed right everything seems to be hooked in right i have my sata cable leading from the sata port on the hard drive to the sata port on mobo and the power connected it sounds like its reading on boot up but can tell. in the bios it looks like its detected it it showes up as scammbled letters and numbers would that be the hard drive or not also the cd/dvd drive shows up as cd/dvd drive not a missmatch of numbers iv tryed setting the hard drive as ied and htac or somthing like that and raid if have any ideas let me know TY

Have you installed the SATA driver? XP doesnt work on SATA drives without 3rd party drivers.
