Help! Exactly how do I install XP in virtual pc on my Vista computer?

I have done what the instructions said to do and get nothing that makes sense to me. I have no idea how to install the XP disc to the Virtual PC. What do I type in the screen that comes up? Can someone give me step by step instructions please? This is something totally new to me.
