just wondering if anyone can offer some advice, i get no sound on my laptop. this happened a month a go but fixed the problem by downloading an audio driver from the manufacturer's site. The sound symbol has disappeared as well, dono why this happens, ur advice is appreciated.

go to start control panel then click on sound and audio and check there or check the cable and leads to your speaker

(1) Have you tried the driver again? Visit the manufacturers site for any later updates for the driver.

(2) Ref: "The sound symbol has disappeared as well".. are you able to get the device manager and see if the device is listed here (Use Show Hidden device option from menu just in case) (Right click My Computer and choose Manage)

(3) Check for any event viewer errors that in System or application event logs for errors for sound.

(4) Have you installed any antivirus/ application software of late? Uninstall the latest software and see if it helps.

(5) Go to the last restore point and see if you can recover.

i had the same maby u download loads and if u do ur gonna need to delete loads of stuff otherwise it can get worse like your mouse can stop moving and u wont be able to see videos

Things keep disappearing, scan for malware.
