Ok i brought a new fujitsu simens computer amilo LI 2727 and i installed xp onto it i now have a problem i have no sound and i have tryed installing the sound drives and i still have no sound please can someone help me oh yea and my sound card is a realtek hd audio that is all the iformation i can get on the name of the sound card please can someone help me

are you running xp sp3? if so, microsoft neglected to include support for HD audio native to the service pack. go, m$.

there's a hotfix that you install before installing your sound drivers (in other words, uninstall and restart your computer before installing these drivers) that you can get from http://www.ditii.com/2008/01/04/windows-xp-sp3-rc-hd-audio-fix/ - and they explain what's going on as well.
