Default Need help with installing xp....easy, i thought so, but no!!! argh?

so im trying to install xp on an old ide hard drive...not so bad

so i slip the disk in, enter windows to start install, press f8 to agree, i format the disk and windows copies files to the drive. everything goes great and the computer reboots....

so it reboots, asks for my bios password, and then OUT OF NOWHERE it restarts the whole install process over again.....install, repair, or quit.....WTF?

any ideas?
