...cant install xp w/o. Please help My used computer came with xp pro on it, I did not get a cd or any kind of codes. My hard drive failed, I bought a xp pro boot cd in hopes of restoring it (no luck there), I still had to replace the hard drive, I tried to slave the old drive to a friends computer to use key finders, the old hard drive says its not formatted and I only get the key code for the computer I am using, not the code for the old drive. Installation will not let me continue without that code. What can I do, How can I get my computer back to functioning? Please Please help me.
