this wipe out all my files? the error appears everytime i try to install softwares for my webcam (brandnew) and my scanner (it seems like all my imaging devices)..please help.

Yes i think it would. You can save all your files to an external harddrive, or disc then that wouldn't be a problem. Good luck resolving this

Update the driver from the Device Manager. To open Device Manager, right-click My Computer on your Desktop, and then on the Hardware tab, select the Device Manager button.
